Fig Energy Offer Terms & Conditions

Effective: 1 May 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to Green ESS promotional arrangements connected with Fig Energy benefits and credits for eligible Green ESS home battery customers.

These Terms and Conditions cover the following offers:

  1. Virtual Battery Offer
  2. GreenVolt Energy Offer

These Terms and Conditions set out Green ESS eligibility requirements, GreenVolt system installation requirements, solar PV requirements, information sharing arrangements, and the circumstances in which Green ESS may arrange or sponsor access to Fig Energy benefits or credits.

Fig Energy electricity plans, rates, billing, Virtual Battery benefit calculation, credit application, eligible charges, expiry or rollover treatment, account display and related energy supply terms are defined, provided and administered by Fig Energy under the applicable Fig Energy plan terms. For the GreenVolt Energy Offer, Green ESS may provide or sponsor up to $2,000 Fig Energy credit for eligible customers, while credit application, timing, account display and billing treatment remain subject to Fig Energy’s applicable terms.

1. Promoter and Roles

Green ESS is the promoter of the Green ESS installation offers described in these Terms and Conditions.

Green ESS is not an electricity retailer and does not provide electricity retail services, electricity plans, electricity supply, billing services, electricity rates, or electricity usage calculations.

Fig Energy provides the qualifying electricity plans and defines, calculates and applies the Virtual Battery benefit under its applicable plan terms.

For the GreenVolt Energy Offer, Green ESS may provide or sponsor up to $2,000 Fig Energy credit for eligible customers. Fig Energy determines how the credit is applied, displayed, timed and treated under its applicable plan terms.

Green ESS may arrange or sponsor access to Fig Energy benefits or credits for eligible Green ESS home battery customers, subject to these Terms and Conditions and Fig Energy’s applicable plan terms.

2. Offer Names

These Terms and Conditions apply to the following offers:

2.1 Virtual Battery Offer

Virtual Battery is a benefit name defined and used by Fig Energy under a qualifying Fig Energy plan. Green ESS uses this name to describe the Fig Energy benefit that may be made available to eligible GreenVolt Pro customers.

2.2 GreenVolt Energy Offer

GreenVolt Energy Offer is a Green ESS x Fig Energy promotional arrangement for eligible customers who purchase and install an eligible GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro home battery system and join a qualifying Fig Energy plan.

Eligible customers may access up to $2,000 Fig Energy credit provided or sponsored by Green ESS, subject to system configuration, eligibility, Fig Energy plan approval and applicable terms.

Credit application, timing, account display and billing treatment are subject to Fig Energy’s applicable terms.

3. Offer Availability

The offers are available from 1 May 2026, subject to availability, eligibility and applicable program terms.

3.1 Virtual Battery Offer Availability

The Virtual Battery Offer is initially available in Victoria only, and only within eligible areas serviced by Fig Energy, unless otherwise stated by Green ESS or Fig Energy.

3.2 GreenVolt Energy Offer Availability

The GreenVolt Energy Offer is available to eligible customers in participating Australian service areas, subject to Green ESS installation availability and Fig Energy service area eligibility.

Availability is subject to:

  • GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro product availability
  • Green ESS installation availability
  • solar PV requirements
  • Fig Energy service area eligibility
  • approval under a qualifying Fig Energy plan
  • applicable Fig Energy plan terms
  • applicable Green ESS offer requirements

4. General Eligibility

To be eligible for either offer, customers must:

  • purchase a new eligible Green ESS home battery system from Green ESS
  • be located within an eligible Fig Energy service area
  • have an existing solar PV system at the property, or install solar PV together with the new battery system through Green ESS
  • sign up to a qualifying Fig Energy electricity plan that supports the relevant offer
  • satisfy Green ESS installation, product and technical requirements
  • satisfy Fig Energy eligibility, grid connection, plan approval and account requirements
  • continue to meet the applicable Green ESS and Fig Energy requirements for the duration of the relevant offer

Green ESS approval does not guarantee Fig Energy plan approval or access to any Fig Energy benefit or credit.

5. Offer-Specific Eligibility

5.1 Virtual Battery Offer Eligibility

To be eligible for the Virtual Battery Offer, customers must purchase and install a new eligible GreenVolt Pro system from Green ESS, unless otherwise approved by Green ESS in writing.

This offer is not available to existing GreenVolt Pro customers unless otherwise approved by Green ESS in writing.

5.2 GreenVolt Energy Offer Eligibility

To be eligible for the GreenVolt Energy Offer, customers must purchase and install a new eligible GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro system from Green ESS.

The advertised starting price applies to the eligible GreenVolt entry system configuration only. GreenVolt Pro is quoted separately based on system configuration, inverter type, battery capacity and installation requirements.

6. Life Support Customers

Customers who have a registered life support machine at their property should contact Fig Energy before applying for either offer.

Special conditions may apply.

These offers do not affect any protections available to life support customers under applicable energy laws and regulations.

7. Fig Energy Plan and Connection Requirement

Participation in either offer is subject to Fig Energy confirming that the relevant property can be connected, supplied and approved under a qualifying Fig Energy plan that supports the relevant benefit or credit.

If Fig Energy determines that the property cannot be connected, cannot be supplied, or is otherwise unsuitable for a qualifying Fig Energy plan, the relevant Fig Energy benefit or credit will not apply.

Green ESS is not responsible for Fig Energy plan approval, electricity account approval, electricity supply approval, billing approval, benefit approval or credit approval.

8. How the Offers Work

8.1 Virtual Battery Offer

Under the Virtual Battery Offer, eligible customers who purchase and install a new eligible GreenVolt Pro system may access a Fig Energy Virtual Battery benefit through a qualifying Fig Energy plan.

The Virtual Battery benefit is defined, calculated and applied by Fig Energy under its applicable plan terms.

Green ESS may arrange or sponsor access to the Fig Energy Virtual Battery benefit for eligible GreenVolt Pro customers.

Green ESS does not define, calculate or apply the Virtual Battery benefit.

8.2 GreenVolt Energy Offer

Under the GreenVolt Energy Offer, eligible customers who purchase and install a new eligible GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro system may access up to $2,000 Fig Energy credit through a qualifying Fig Energy plan.

Green ESS may provide or sponsor the approved Fig Energy credit amount for eligible customers.

The final credit amount depends on the selected GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro system configuration, eligibility, Fig Energy plan approval and applicable offer terms.

Fig Energy determines how the credit is applied, displayed, timed and treated under its applicable plan terms.

Customers should refer to Fig Energy for details about:

  • qualifying electricity plans
  • electricity rates
  • billing
  • usage charges
  • supply charges
  • fixed charges
  • eligible charges
  • credit application
  • credit timing
  • account credit treatment
  • any other electricity supply, account or plan conditions

9. Virtual Battery Benefit

Eligible customers may access a Fig Energy Virtual Battery benefit that may be expressed as up to 25kWh of daily electricity for free under a qualifying Fig Energy plan.

The benefit may be calculated and applied by Fig Energy by reference to an applicable Fig Energy electricity rate, including an off-peak rate where relevant.

The applicable rate, calculation method, credit value, billing treatment, eligible charges, expiry or rollover treatment, and credit application are determined by Fig Energy under its applicable plan terms.

Green ESS does not define, calculate or apply the Virtual Battery benefit.

The available benefit may depend on factors including:

  • installed GreenVolt Pro battery capacity
  • Fig Energy plan eligibility
  • Fig Energy account approval
  • property location and Fig Energy service area
  • grid connection status
  • applicable Fig Energy plan terms
  • billing and credit application rules determined by Fig Energy

As a general guide, the Fig Energy Virtual Battery benefit may match the installed GreenVolt Pro battery capacity up to a maximum of 25kWh per day.

Examples:

  • 15kWh GreenVolt Pro battery = up to 15kWh daily Virtual Battery benefit
  • 25kWh GreenVolt Pro battery = up to 25kWh daily Virtual Battery benefit
  • 30kWh GreenVolt Pro battery = up to 25kWh daily Virtual Battery benefit
  • 40kWh GreenVolt Pro battery = up to 25kWh daily Virtual Battery benefit

The above examples are illustrative only. Final benefit amount, calculation method, credit application and billing treatment are determined by Fig Energy under the applicable Fig Energy plan terms.

10. GreenVolt Energy Offer Credit

Eligible customers may access up to $2,000 Fig Energy credit under the GreenVolt Energy Offer.

The advertised credit amount is based on the selected GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro system configuration and is subject to eligibility, Fig Energy plan approval and applicable offer terms.

Green ESS may provide or sponsor the approved Fig Energy credit amount for eligible customers.

The credit is provided as Fig Energy credit. Credit application, timing, account display, billing treatment, expiry, cancellation and any other operational rules are subject to Fig Energy’s applicable terms.

Green ESS does not provide electricity retail services, electricity plans, electricity supply, billing services, electricity rates or electricity usage calculations.

The Fig Energy credit may depend on factors including:

  • selected GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro system
  • inverter type
  • battery capacity
  • Fig Energy plan eligibility
  • Fig Energy account approval
  • property location and Fig Energy service area
  • grid connection status
  • applicable Fig Energy plan terms
  • billing and credit application rules determined by Fig Energy

Any GreenVolt Pro credit table, calculator, example credit amount or promotional credit amount shown by Green ESS is based on the applicable system size and program assumptions.

Credit amounts may be rounded down to the nearest $50 and capped at $2,000, unless otherwise stated by Green ESS or Fig Energy.

Final eligibility, approval, application, timing, account display and billing treatment are subject to Fig Energy’s applicable terms.

Once applied, the eligible Fig Energy credit may be visible in the customer’s Fig Energy account, subject to Fig Energy account display and plan terms.

11. No VPP Sign-Up Required for GreenVolt Energy Offer

VPP sign-up is not required to access the GreenVolt Energy Offer.

Customers must still meet all applicable Green ESS and Fig Energy eligibility requirements, including GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro system approval, solar PV requirements and qualifying Fig Energy plan approval.

For the avoidance of doubt, this clause applies to the GreenVolt Energy Offer only and does not alter any separate terms that may apply to other programs, energy plans or future optional services.

12. Fig Energy Benefit and Credit Rules

The timing, application, expiry, rollover treatment, account credit treatment, billing treatment and any other operational rules for any Fig Energy benefit or credit are determined by Fig Energy under the applicable Fig Energy plan terms.

For the GreenVolt Energy Offer, Green ESS may advertise or determine promotional Fig Energy credit amounts based on system size and program assumptions. Fig Energy determines how approved credit is applied, displayed, timed and treated under its applicable terms.

Green ESS does not determine:

  • how any Fig Energy electricity plan is billed
  • how the Virtual Battery benefit is calculated or applied
  • how the Fig Energy credit is applied to a customer account
  • whether the benefit or credit applies to usage charges, supply charges, fixed charges, fees, add-ons or other charges
  • whether unused benefit or credit expires, rolls over, accumulates, or has any account value
  • the billing cycle or timing for benefit or credit application
  • any applicable electricity rate used to calculate or apply the benefit or credit

Customers should refer to Fig Energy’s applicable plan terms for full details.

13. Optional Daily VPP Participation Prompt

After joining an eligible offer, customers may receive a daily VPP participation prompt through the Green ESS app, iGE App, or another approved program communication channel.

Each prompt is optional. Customers may choose to accept or decline the relevant VPP dispatch request for that day.

No battery dispatch will occur through this optional daily prompt unless the customer accepts the request, subject to applicable technical, safety, system and program requirements.

Declining a daily prompt does not, by itself, cancel the customer’s offer eligibility, unless otherwise stated in the applicable Fig Energy plan terms or program terms.

14. Benefit or Credit Commencement

The relevant Fig Energy benefit or credit will commence or be applied only when Fig Energy confirms that the customer has met all applicable requirements under the qualifying Fig Energy plan.

These requirements may include, but are not limited to:

  • completion of the relevant GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro installation
  • completion or confirmation of solar PV requirements
  • approval of the qualifying Fig Energy plan
  • confirmation of grid connection or account activation
  • any other requirements specified by Fig Energy

No Fig Energy benefit or credit applies before Fig Energy confirms the applicable commencement or application requirements have been satisfied.

15. Offer Duration

15.1 Virtual Battery Offer Duration

The Virtual Battery Offer is subject to availability, Green ESS installation availability, Fig Energy plan availability and applicable program terms.

For customers who successfully join the Virtual Battery Offer, the Fig Energy Virtual Battery benefit may continue until 31 December 2030, provided that the customer:

  • remains on a qualifying Fig Energy plan that supports the Virtual Battery benefit
  • continues to meet Fig Energy’s applicable plan terms and eligibility requirements
  • continues to meet the Green ESS offer requirements
  • maintains the eligible GreenVolt Pro system
  • maintains the required solar PV system at the property
  • remains within an eligible Fig Energy service area
  • does not cancel, change or become removed from the qualifying Fig Energy plan

Any ongoing electricity plan, billing, benefit application, benefit calculation, credit application or benefit treatment is determined by Fig Energy under its applicable plan terms.

15.2 GreenVolt Energy Offer Duration

The GreenVolt Energy Offer is subject to availability, Green ESS installation availability, Fig Energy plan availability and applicable program terms.

The GreenVolt Energy Offer provides access to up to $2,000 Fig Energy credit for eligible customers, subject to system configuration, Fig Energy approval and applicable terms.

Credit application, timing, account display and billing treatment are subject to Fig Energy’s applicable terms.

Green ESS may withdraw or stop offering access to this promotion for new customers at any time, subject to applicable law.

16. Limited Availability

These offers are limited offers.

Green ESS reserves the right to determine, at its discretion:

  • the number of GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro installation places available
  • when each Green ESS promotion opens or closes
  • whether either Green ESS promotion remains available in any region, for any particular product, installation type, or customer category
  • whether a customer satisfies Green ESS installation, product and technical requirements

Participation is subject to availability and final approval by Green ESS and Fig Energy.

Green ESS approval does not guarantee Fig Energy plan approval or access to any Fig Energy benefit or credit.

17. Circumstances Where a Benefit or Credit May End

A Fig Energy benefit or credit may end, be suspended, be varied or fail to apply if:

  • the customer cancels, changes or is removed from the qualifying Fig Energy plan
  • the customer moves to an address outside an eligible Fig Energy service area
  • the customer’s property or account is no longer eligible for Fig Energy supply under a qualifying plan
  • Fig Energy determines that the customer is no longer eligible for the benefit or credit
  • the customer no longer meets the eligibility requirements for the relevant offer
  • the relevant GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro system is disconnected, removed, decommissioned or otherwise becomes ineligible
  • solar PV requirements are no longer satisfied
  • Green ESS or Fig Energy determines that the customer has breached applicable terms
  • the program is varied, suspended, withdrawn or ended, subject to applicable law

Green ESS is not responsible for Fig Energy’s electricity plan decisions, billing decisions, account decisions, benefit calculation, credit calculation, benefit application or credit application.

18. Changes to the Offers

Green ESS may amend these Terms and Conditions, change the Green ESS installation promotions, vary Green ESS eligibility criteria, change or remove qualifying Green ESS products or regions, or suspend, withdraw or terminate a Green ESS promotion, subject to applicable law.

Fig Energy may determine or change the terms of its electricity plans, Virtual Battery benefit, Fig Energy credit, rates, billing, eligibility criteria, credit application and benefit calculation under its applicable plan terms.

Where a material change to a Green ESS promotion affects existing participants, Green ESS will provide reasonable notice where required by law.

19. No Government Affiliation

The Virtual Battery Offer and the GreenVolt Energy Offer are not government rebates, government subsidies, STCs, state rebates or government-run programs.

They are commercial offers connected to eligible Green ESS home battery installation and a qualifying Fig Energy plan.

Electricity plan terms, rates, billing, benefit calculation and credit application are provided and determined by Fig Energy.

20. No Guarantee of Savings

Actual customer value, benefit, credit, bill outcomes and electricity usage outcomes will vary depending on factors including:

  • electricity consumption
  • tariff structure
  • billing cycle
  • selected Fig Energy plan
  • GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro system size
  • solar PV system size and performance
  • grid usage behaviour
  • eligibility status
  • technical and connection conditions
  • Fig Energy benefit calculation and credit application

Green ESS does not guarantee any particular level of savings, bill reduction, financial outcome, electricity usage result or energy benefit. The approved Fig Energy credit amount is subject to system configuration, eligibility, Fig Energy plan approval and applicable offer terms.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Green ESS and Fig Energy will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss arising out of or in connection with either offer, including any loss of anticipated savings, benefits or credits.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that customers may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

22. Pricing Comparisons in Marketing

Any pricing, capacity, savings, credit or benefit comparisons used in Green ESS promotional materials are illustrative only and are based on the assumptions stated in those materials.

Unless otherwise stated, any comparison referring to battery size, starting price, budget impact, savings, credit amount or benefit amount is based on the relevant Green ESS product, standard installation assumptions, applicable rebate-adjusted pricing where relevant, and applicable promotional Fig Energy credit assumptions.

Final pricing, credit eligibility, benefit eligibility, installation cost and quote approval are subject to site assessment, system configuration, Fig Energy plan approval and applicable terms.

23. Personal Information

To enquire about or participate in either offer, customers may be required to provide personal information, including name, phone number, email address, address, postcode, electricity account information, installation-related information, solar PV information and property information.

Green ESS and Fig Energy may collect, use and share this information where reasonably necessary for the purposes of:

  • assessing GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro installation requirements
  • assessing solar PV requirements
  • assessing Fig Energy plan eligibility
  • assessing grid connection suitability
  • administering the relevant offer
  • contacting the customer regarding the relevant offer

The collection and handling of personal information is governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Customers may also need to refer to Fig Energy’s privacy policy for information about how Fig Energy handles personal information.

24. Information Sharing

By submitting an enquiry or application, the customer acknowledges and agrees that their information may be shared between Green ESS and Fig Energy where reasonably necessary to assess:

  • GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro installation requirements
  • solar PV requirements
  • Fig Energy plan eligibility
  • grid connection suitability
  • offer administration

25. Marketing Communications

Green ESS and/or Fig Energy may send customers updates directly related to the relevant offer and their participation in it.

Customers who wish to receive additional promotional or marketing communications from Green ESS and/or Fig Energy may opt in separately.

Customers may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting the relevant party or using the unsubscribe link in any communication.

27. General

These offers cannot be transferred, assigned, substituted or exchanged for cash by the customer, except where expressly allowed by applicable law or the relevant Fig Energy plan terms.

The Green ESS promotions are subject to availability and final approval by Green ESS.

Fig Energy plan approval, the Fig Energy Virtual Battery benefit and any Fig Energy credit are subject to Fig Energy’s applicable plan terms.

Green ESS may refuse, cancel or reverse a Green ESS promotional component where Green ESS reasonably believes an offer is being misused or used contrary to these Terms and Conditions, subject to applicable law.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

28. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

29. Governing Version

In the event of any inconsistency between Green ESS promotional materials, FAQs, sales communications and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions prevail to the extent of the inconsistency for matters relating to Green ESS products, installation and Green ESS promotional eligibility.

For matters relating to Fig Energy electricity plans, rates, billing, supply, Virtual Battery benefit definition, benefit calculation, Fig Energy credit calculation or credit application, the applicable Fig Energy plan terms prevail.

Customers should refer to Fig Energy’s applicable plan terms for full details regarding the qualifying Fig Energy electricity plan and any relevant Fig Energy benefit or credit, including:

  • rates
  • billing
  • supply terms
  • eligible charges
  • Virtual Battery benefit calculation
  • Fig Energy credit application
  • account treatment
  • expiry or rollover treatment
  • other electricity plan conditions
