G4 and G4 Turbo are designed to support compatible e-bikes, trolleys and golf carts, giving the Green ESS battery ecosystem a life beyond the home. Powerlink P and Powerlink PX share the same physical battery-side connection, but serve different power requirements. Garden Tools use G4 Turbo exclusively.
12V Power
Powerlink PX adds a 12V XT60 output rated up to 180W. With the correct cable, it can connect G4 Turbo to compatible camping, caravan, vehicle and mobile 12V equipment.
Always confirm voltage, polarity, connector type and power requirements before connection.
The black panel-mounted XT60 female output is rated up to 180W on the current production unit.
Connect compatible 12V equipment only after checking the DC plug size, polarity and operating requirements.
Connect compatible Anderson-equipped 12V devices or DC distribution systems after confirming connector type, polarity and load.
Frequently Asked Questions
The range includes four 48V tools: the Lawn Mower, Electric Chainsaw, Hedge Trimmer and Line Trimmer.
Yes. G4 Turbo is the compatible battery for the complete Garden Tools range. Move it between tools using the connection designed for each product.
No. Green ESS Garden Tools require G4 Turbo. Standard G4 is not compatible with the Garden Tools range.
No. G4 Turbo fits directly into the Lawn Mower, creating a self-contained setup without Powerlink PX.
The Electric Chainsaw, Hedge Trimmer and Line Trimmer connect to G4 Turbo through Powerlink PX, which is worn with its belt. The Lawn Mower accepts G4 Turbo directly and does not require Powerlink PX.
The belt carries G4 Turbo and Powerlink PX on the operator rather than on the handheld tool. This keeps the portable power connection close while allowing the tool to remain practical in hand.
The Lawn Mower covers routine lawn cutting and grass collection. The Line Trimmer finishes edges and supports approved denser-growth tasks. The Hedge Trimmer shapes hedge tops and sides, while the Electric Chainsaw is intended for controlled branch and suitable timber cutting.
In Australia, “whipper snipper” is a common name for a line trimmer. Green ESS uses Line Trimmer as the official product name.
Yes. Switch the tool off and disconnect or remove the battery before changing tools. Fit G4 Turbo directly to the Lawn Mower, or connect it through Powerlink PX for the other three Garden Tools.
Both batteries can be charged in GreenVolt or GreenVolt Pro. Powerlink P has a USB-C input for charging G4 or G4 Turbo. A compatible AC adapter can connect through the proprietary magnetic port on Powerlink P, or through Powerlink PX when using G4 Turbo.
They use the same physical battery-side connection form, but they are different modules. Powerlink P supports G4 and G4 Turbo. Powerlink PX supports G4 Turbo only and must not be used with standard G4.
Powerlink P is the lower-power 4-pin option with USB-C input, USB-A and USB-C outputs, and an LED light. Powerlink PX is the higher-power 8-pin option for G4 Turbo only; it has no USB ports and adds a 12V XT60 output rated up to 180W.
Align the proprietary cable head and let it seat magnetically, then engage the manual latch to secure it. Switch connected equipment off and release the latch before removal. Use only the correct cable for the tool, AC adapter or mobility application.
It can supply compatible 12V DC equipment up to 180W through the correct XT60-to-12V DC or XT60-to-Anderson cable. Check voltage, polarity, connector type, continuous load and start-up load before use.
Yes, for selected compatible 12V camping, caravan, vehicle and mobile equipment within the 180W output limit. Compatibility is not guaranteed by an XT60, DC barrel or Anderson connector alone; verify the device requirements first.
Yes. Both batteries support compatible e-bikes, trolleys and golf carts. Check the relevant product documentation before use.
Inspect the tool, guard, cutting system and power connection before use. Wear the PPE specified in the product manual, keep children and bystanders clear, and disconnect the battery before adjustment, cleaning or changing accessories.
